2020-10-27 | Simplify stack management by popping in bulk at higher levels | David Robillard | 4 | -98/+51
Since all memory used by the reader is POD in the stack, there is no benefit to forcing code to explicitly pop everything pushed to the stack, since any function can record an offset and pop back down to it regardless of what its callers pushed if it knows that it does not need those items.
2020-10-27 | Use a fixed-size reader stack | David Robillard | 13 | -188/+240
This improves performance, and makes the reader more suitable for embedded or network-facing applications, at the cost of requiring the user to specify a maximum stack size.

2020-10-27 | Merge datatype and/or language into node | David Robillard | 8 | -95/+252
This moves closer to the sord API, and is more convenient in most cases.

2020-10-27 | Make serd_strtod API const-correct | David Robillard | 4 | -8/+12
This is an API breakage, but a minor one (particularly since NULL is allowed) that avoids the flaw in the standard C API.
2020-10-27 | Rename SerdChunk to SerdStringView | David Robillard | 7 | -30/+30
2020-10-27 | Use char* for strings in public API | David Robillard | 20 | -336/+321
The constant casting just makes user code a mess, for no benefit.

2020-10-27 | Add SerdBuffer type for mutable buffers | David Robillard | 7 | -32/+47
This avoids const violations from abusing SerdChunk as a mutable buffer for string sinks.

2020-10-27 | Simplify reader byte reading interface | David Robillard | 1 | -10/+3
This eliminates eat_byte() and the way it conflates the status of advancing the source with the current character, which can cause problems with custom sinks.

2020-08-16 | Fix EOF and null byte handling | David Robillard | 3 | -3/+12
This is a bit questionable, but the null byte support is needed for streaming over a socket where some delimiter is required. This caused a bug where serdi would hang forever on corrupt files that contain a null byte. Fix this by consuming the byte, but otherwise behaving as before. |
